Do you want to get the most out of your life and money? Is your business financially stable and sustainable? Are you up to date on how to make the most of your cash flow, credit history and banking decisions to ensure your financial success?
This forum is not a sales pitch for financial services, but instead will dole out real-world advice so you can make the most of what you have – both personally and professionally. Our knowledgeable speakers will guide you to take control of your dollars and debt (whether for your personal world or to rock your business finances) and when you leave this event, you will:
- Learn how to make wise decisions when it comes to banking and budgeting to make the most of your money.
- Identify strategies to help you increase your “entrepreneurial rating”.
- Gain information and tools to help make your business more financially stable and sustainable.
- Understand the ups and downs of economic cycles and how to develop a cash flow projection plan to survive in fat or lean times.
Check in at 5:30 pm to network, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and desserts provided by Lighthouse Visionary Strategies, with wine offered at a special discounted price. Shared knowledge, impactful networking and lots of draw prizes!
Lastly, we will finish the evening with an opportunity for you to access our knowledgeable speakers. Ask your personalized questions and walk away with tangible takeaways and tools for your financial success.
Oh all that and an EARLY BIRD BONUS too! Buy your ticket by June 1st and we will send you an introspective exercise that will have you exploring your current relationship with money and how to elevate awareness of the money mindset you want to create.
Terms & Conditions: Tickets to Whistler Open Forum Events are non-refundable but may be transferred.
About Our Guest Speakers
We are so fortunate to have Caroline as one of our Guest Speakers. She started with Vancity in 2012 as a contact center agent, progressing through retail lending, mortgage lending, underwriting and business analysis to her current one as a Commerical Account Bank Manager. She brings strong knowledge (and commitment) to help small and medium-sized businesses thrive. Whether sharing a solid understanding of operational cash flow or special considerations when starting a new business, Caroline’s solid knowledge and facilitation skills are designed to improve a business’s success. She graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Diploma in Accounting and is currently completing the Chartered Professional Accountant program and is a facilitator of Vancity’s financial literacy initiatives. In her spare time, Caroline spends time on a committee with the Society for the Promotion of Environmental Conservation; she’s a member of the Board of Change as well as enjoying the outdoors, travelling and salsa dancing.
Jennifer Underwood started working at Squamish Credit Union in 2005. Continuing on after their 2016 merger with Vancity, she worked her way from teller and Accounts Manager to her current role as Wealth Planner in the Vancouver head office. Having acquired financial management certification from BCIT, she will be writing the Certified Financial Planner exam on June 2nd. Jennifer shares a powerful story blending her career knowledge and education with personal experience having lived below the poverty line. Wanting to help others build wealth to break through that barrier and seeing a need in the Squamish community, she created the “Fresh Start” program in 2012, designed to help people to have a “fresh start” with their finances. It covers budgeting, debt repayment without loans and savings plans. Although the program is no longer operating, she is happy to share materials and budgeting tools for anyone interested in improving their financial situation.
